OWA 2003 sent email To: from GAL appears "Display Name"[SMTP: address]
We are using OWA 2003 for some time now. Recently it was noticed that when entering a name from the GAL and selecting {Add recipient to: "To"} the address field shows the address in the following format and red color: "Display Name"[SMTP: user primary SMTP address] i.e. Joe Doe[SMTP:joe.doe@example.com] Then, trying to send the email appears the window {Check Names -- Webpage Dialog} asking to select a name from the GAL that matches only the First name, i.e. Joe lastname1[SMTP:joe.lastname1@example.com] Joe lastname2[SMTP:joe.lastname2@example.com] Joe Doe[SMTP:joe.doe@example.com] It used to work correctly without appearing the [SMTP...] and without the need to check the name again across the GAL again. Why is this happening and how it can be fixed?

Hi Koul, How many OWA users have the issue? Did you check other recipient's name from the GAL, what's result? Please enter a blank space in the "Display name", click "Find", can you see all users? Please enter recipient's displayname in the To..., then click "Ctrl+K" to see whether it works. Please download the Exbpa to do a health check. Thank you Frank, All the users that use OWA have the issue. The result is the same unless the first name is completely unique in the GAL, if it is not, it will appear the window {Check Names -- Webpage Dialog} asking to select the name again from the GAL. It does NOT return all users when searching with a blank space char in the "Find" GAL search. "Ctrl+K" gives the same result as above, unless the first name is completely unique in the GAL, if not, it will appear the window {Check Names -- Webpage Dialog} asking to select the name again from the GAL. Exbpa tool on the OWA server returns the following errors after the health check, 'MaxPageSize' is set too high -- This was changed in the Directory because of other 3rd part Applications needing a higher Page Size Domain Naming Master failed to respond, Error code:389 not available -- It seems to be a problem reaching the forest domain controller, the OWA server is member of a child domain Schema Master failed to respond -- The same error message as before Routing Group: First routing group, cannot connect to port 25 -- Tries to connect to port 25 to the mailbox server but connection fails from where the tool is running Again thank you for your response.
